Sova Platform Terms
Effective September 9, 2026, version 2026-09-09-v1. Sova is an online ordering platform operated by Seven Seconds Agency LLC ("Seven Seconds", "we", "us" or "our"). Restaurants and other food businesses ("Merchants") use Sova to run their own online ordering sites — including the site that brought you here. These Platform Terms explain Seven Seconds's role when you use a Merchant's site. They sit alongside the Merchant's own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which govern your order; if those documents and these Platform Terms say different things about your order, the Merchant's documents control.
1. Our role
Seven Seconds provides the technology. The Merchant sells the food. When you place an order on a Merchant's site, your contract is with that Merchant: it sets the menu, the prices and the pickup arrangements, prepares your order, and decides on cancellations and refunds under its own policies. Seven Seconds is not a party to that sale, does not prepare or handle food, and is not responsible for its quality, its ingredients or allergens, or how quickly it is ready.
2. Ordering through Sova
- Menus, prices, availability and pickup times shown on a Merchant's site are set by the Merchant and can change at any time.
- You order as a guest; no account is needed. Your order page is reached through a private link in your confirmation email — anyone with the link can see the order, so keep it to yourself.
- Order confirmations, ready-for-pickup notices and receipts are sent by Sova on the Merchant's behalf. They are part of the service, not marketing.
- The Merchant may decline an order before accepting it, for example when an item has sold out or it is closing; its Terms of Service explain when and how.
3. Payments
Payments on Sova are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by Seven Seconds or by the Merchant. The charge is made to the Merchant's own account and normally appears on your statement under the Merchant's name. Refunds are decided by the Merchant under its Refund Policy and are returned to your original payment method through Stripe.
4. Your information
Seven Seconds processes personal information on the Merchant's behalf and under its instructions, as its service provider. The Merchant's Privacy Policy explains what is collected — your name, phone number, email address and what you ordered — and why. Seven Seconds uses that information only to:
- run the Merchant's site and prepare, confirm and hand over your order
- send the Merchant's order emails
- send marketing emails for a Merchant only where you opted in with that Merchant, each with an unsubscribe link
- keep the platform secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems
- understand how the platform is used, in aggregate
- comply with the law
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers of our own — database and hosting, email delivery, error monitoring and payment processing — each bound to use the information only to provide its service to us. To see, correct or delete your information, contact the Merchant; Seven Seconds acts on its instructions and helps it respond.
5. Cookies
A Sova site uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to keep your cart and complete your order. It does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Sova sites only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with their operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of them, place fraudulent orders, or use another person's order link. We may block access that breaks these rules.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Sova available and accurate, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control, and we may change or discontinue features. A Merchant may also switch its online ordering off at any time.
8. Intellectual property
The Sova software, name, logo and site design belong to Seven Seconds Agency LLC. Each Merchant's name, logo, menu, photographs and text belong to that Merchant or its licensors. Neither may be copied or reused without permission.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Sova is provided by Seven Seconds "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seven Seconds is not liable for the acts, omissions, food, service or policies of any Merchant, and our total liability to you in connection with your use of Sova is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing in these Platform Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer.
10. Governing law
These Platform Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute with Seven Seconds that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents either of us from using a small-claims court where eligible.
11. Changes to these Platform Terms
We may update these Platform Terms from time to time. The version in effect is the one published on this page with its version number and effective date.
